Harpenden Town Council has received more than £20,000 for the Play Toddler Area at Porters Hill Park to be completed.
The section 106 money came from St Albans District Council, who removed the earlier playpark ten years ago for safety reasons.
Harpenden Town Council consulted with 200 people and they were actively involved in contributing to the final designs submitted.
Section 106 money comes from developers as a planning permission contribution towards local facilities that the development will utilise.
