A parish council is holding a meeting to allow residents to get involved in the development of a Community Plan for their area.

Sandridge Parish Council is holding the meeting at 7.30pm in Marshalswick Community Centre on Tuesday, October 7.

Meetings have already been held for the residents of Sandridge Village and Jersey Farm and working parties have been set up.

The three Community Plans will be used to create a Neighbourhood Plan for Sandridge Parish.

Neighbourhood Plans give local people the opportunity to have a greater say in the kind of development they want for their community.

They provide guidance on what development is appropriate for local need and where it should go.

The plans can include where transport infrastructure, community facilities and businesses are located and cover issues such as the protection of local heritage.
