Three volunteers from Heartwood Forest have received awards for their efforts from the Woodland Trust.
Judith Parry, Brian Legg and Tim Wright, all from St Albans, won Volunteer of the Year awards for their work at the forest in Sandridge.
Judith received the Acorn Award for the most inspiring Woodland Trust volunteer at the charity’s annual volunteer conference.
Brian and Tim were awarded the Willow award for the best collaborative achievement.
Each year the Woodland Trust gives awards to the most outstanding volunteers for their talent and dedication.
Winners are selected from nearly 2,000 volunteers all over the UK, who in 2013 dedicated more than 140,000 hours of their time.
