A man was stabbed after a mass brawl at a nightclub in St Albans this morning.
The incident occurred at around 4am, when a fight broke out between a large group of people inside Club Batchwood.
A 19-year-old was stabbed in the chest and remains in hospital in a stable condition. He is due to return home today.
Detective Sergeant Katy Jackson, from the Local Crime Unit is investigating and said: “The victim has received a serious injury but is thankfully now in a stable condition.
“We have spoken to a number of witnesses but I would ask anyone who has not yet spoken with officers and who has information, which would assist our investigation to please call.
“If you were at the club and saw or heard anything suspicious, either before, during or after the incident, I would like to hear from you as you may have vital information.
"If you don’t feel comfortable in leaving your details please call Crimestoppers anonymously."

- A 19-year-old from London, has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail until June 6.
