A refurbished, hand crafted and hand painted village sign has been unveiled.
The new London Colney village sign, on the village green outside the Green Dragon pub, was revealed on Monday, April 18.
Carved and painted by local artist Frank Casey, the ‘totem pole’ sign is considered to be a “significant piece of community art”.
Council chairman Malcolm MacMillan said: “This is a beautiful piece of work in one of the beauty spots of St Albans.
“The green provides enormous enjoyment for locals and visitors to London Colney and our sign post will enhance that experience.
“We witness an excellent example of art in the community to a very high standard and the council is on the look-out for other initiatives.”
