More than 12 cars were scratched causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
On Wednesday September 14, 12 cars were scratched at around 10.50pm at Gates Ford garage in Ashley Road, St Albans.
The offender damaged several doors and panels of the vehicles.
Anyone with information should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on 101.
